Cara Rice is the founder and lead therapist at Joyful Noise Speech Therapy, PLLC.  Cara graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, and she received her master's degree from Texas Christian University.  Cara has dedicated her career to working with the pediatric population.  She has over a decade of experience in the private practice setting and loves the opportunity to work one-on-one with her patients.  Cara values collaboration with other therapists, teachers, and different education professionals in order to help treat the whole child and to help her patients carryover their speech and language skills.  Cara is a great advocate for her patients and is committed to meeting your family's needs and exceeding your expectations.

 

Cara's training and previous experience covers children of all ages. She has experience working with kids with autism, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders, ADHD, speech generating devices, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and more.  Cara is a recognized SLP by Apraxia-Kids, and she has great success using DTTC with children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.  She has also been recognized as a DFW Mom Approved Speech Therapist.  Cara loves to work with the children in the early years to help set them up for quick progress and long-term success.  She also has tons of experience with building social and pragmatic language skills for children of all ages.  Cara has great success with stuttering and cluttering therapy and focuses on maintaining a positive outlook on communication.  Cara excels at connecting with her patients and building a strong rapport with both her patients and their families.  You can expect her to use a combination of fun activities, functional tasks, and your child's preferred interests in order to create effective and enjoyable treatment sessions.

Lauren Jack, M.S., CCC-SLP
 

Lauren joined the Joyful Noise team in January of 2023 and serves clients in the Fort Worth area. Lauren graduated with her Masters from TCU where she met Cara. She has worked in pediatrics for 10+ years and enjoys working with kids of all ages. Lauren has experience in private practice, including an autism clinic where she provided home visits and daycare consultations. She has also worked in both elementary and secondary schools, where she has worked with children with a variety of speech and language needs.  

 

Lauren excels in providing language and pragmatic support for preschool aged children.  She also specializes in fluency/stuttering therapy and prioritizes parent education and encourages a positive communication outlook.  Lauren has great success in treating articulation and phonological speech sound disorders for kids of all ages. Lauren has completed Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) training for Levels 1 and 2. She also participates in the monthly continuing education provided by Education Service Center Region 11 focusing on current research and best practice in the areas of language, literacy, speech sound disorders, fluency, and service provision models. Lauren loves including parents and other care providers as partners in children’s speech and language development.  She practices from a play-based/multi-sensory/ neurodivergent-affirming framework. She believes meeting your children where they are at fosters positive relationships and that yields the best progress!
